Secrets to being undefeated

I went through the first two seasons of being undefeated and winning the Superbowl.  I play as the Patriots.

Tips:

  • Don't get pass or run happy
  • Teach yourself not to throw to that one player the whole game
  • If it is double coverage do NOT throw
  • When you are winning near the end of the game, don't give throwing it deep, some reason in the game you'll be picked off
  • Adjust to how the Defense is playing, if you are getting shut down on the run, then try to pass the ball, but remember not to completely abandon the run
  • When you are down, don't try to get a touchdown right away.  Take a deep breath and get a touchdown
I find the hardest games I play are the ones where I just keep throwing deep or if I just keep doing what I want.

  • Learn to read defensive blitz
  •  when on defense, blitz from different locations.
I like playing on defense because of the different plays you could call to wreck havoc on the offense.

What formations and why:

3-4 - Great for blitzing the linebackers.
4-3 - Mixed, use it when the opponent may run, but could pass.
Nickel - stopping the run
Dime - When the game is close, but he needs to pass
Quarter - When the game is pretty much over with
Dollar  - rarely, but use it for passes at the end of the game

Secrets to becoming a Madden God

  • be able to read biltz
  • when on D biltz from different locations
  • adjust to what you are given
  • pump fake can help a lot
  • Sacks are better than Interceptions

This isn't really a secret, but if you are comfortable with your offense, build your Defense in Free agency and Draft (unless you need players on O)

Record currently: 51 wins, 5 loses, 3 Superbowl wins.
